James K. Fortson, MD MPH MBA CPE FACS is Board certified in
Otolaryngology. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Howard
University in Washington, D.C. He attended Medical School at the State
University of New York in Buffalo. Dr. Fortson’s specialty training in
Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery was completed at Boston University,
Tufts University, and Harvard University Medical Centers in Boston,
Massachusetts.
Dr. Fortson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology, a
Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery
and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Fortson also
maintains membership with American Rhinologic Society, American
Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, The American Board of Otolaryngology,
The Royal Society of Medicine-London, England, The Clinical Sleep
Society, the Caribbean Otolaryngology Society and the Pan-American
Congress of Otolaryngology. Dr. Fortson is the Chief of Surgery at
South Fulton Medical Center.
Dr. Fortson is the Chief of Head & Neck Surgery and Clinical Professor
in the Departments of Surgery and Otolaryngology at Morehouse School
of Medicine. He is on the clinical faculty at Emory University and is
involved with the Otolaryngology residency program. He has been
involved in many research activities, and he has written and published
numerous books chapters, papers, and abstracts regarding the field of
Otolaryngology. |
